THE CONGA LOUNGE

Come and enjoy a Scorpion or Gilligan's Island (our signature drink) at our exotic, retro-tropical cocktail lounge and banquet facility above Café Rustica at 5422 College Avenue in Oakland! We are open Tuesday through Sunday, from 5pm onward.

The Conga Lounge is our homage to the great tiki bars that ruled Oakland nightlife in the 40's and 50's. Oakland is the birthplace of the Mai Tai (first shaken at the original Trader Vic's on San Pablo Avenue).

Our full bar sports an incredible array of around 40 delicious exotic cocktails and a tasty selection of appetizers (the entire Rustica menu is served during restaurant hours). Exciting theme nights are being planned, as well as a DJ spot on the weekends.

The lounge is available for private parties and business meetings. There is no room fee, only certain minimums depending upon the night of the week. The lounge is completely private and is yours to use as you wish—balloons, speeches, etc.

Please note that on Wednesdays the room is opened to the public at 9pm—you and your guests are encouraged to stay on.

Thursday through Saturday

No private parties, but we do take reservations for large groups after 9pm. Call for details.

PRIVATE PARTY APPETIZER MENU
Our full pizza and chicken menus are available as well as the following appetizers. All items (except focaccia and salads) are served in party-style 5lb bowls for $45 each.

GUACAMOLE
A puree of fresh avocadoes with lime juice, jalapenos,
chopped tomatoes, red onions and cilantro.
Served with ample corn chips

ANTIPASTO PLATTER
A selection of fine Italian cheeses and meats (Mortadella, Salame, Proscuitto, Provolone, Swiss Cheese, Boconccini) olives, pickled chilies, marinated artichoke hearts and roasted red bell peppers

CEVICHE TROPICAL
Fresh salmon and shrimp marinated in lime juice, with jalapenos, chopped tomatoes, red onions, cilantro, red bell peppers and pineapple. Served with tortilla chips.

CAPRESE SKEWERS
Skewers of Boconccini (little mozzarella balls), cherry tomatoes and basil served on a bed of organic baby greens and drizzled with a reduced balsamic and olive-oil dressing.

CRAB CAKES
A platter of pan-fried crab cakes, served atop a bed of organic baby greens and house-made aioli.

HOT ‘N SPICY CHICKEN WINGS
A Conga Lounge favorite: oven baked spicy chicken wings served with house ranch dressing.

JALAPENO, SHRIMP AND ARTICHOKE DIP
Served with our delicious house bread.

FOCACCIA A LA ROMANA
House made flatbread topped with roasted potatoes,
rosemary, garlic, pancetta and fresh parmesan. $25 per tray.

HUMMUS BI TAHINI
A puree of garbanzo beans and sesame
paste, served with house bread.

ENSALATA GRANDE (feeds 12-15)
A 10lb bowl of our signature salads, $35 per bowl.
